Your chiropractic journey is like building a house - you need to do things in a particular order for everything to stay strong and work as it should. When constructing a house, if you put up your walls before you set a solid foundation, your walls will eventually come tumbling down and you'll be back at the start. You can say the same for your body. You need to go through a certain process in order to repair yourself correctly and fully. There are three phrases of the chiropractic journey. . .
If you come to our Missoula office with back pain already, Dr. Pete's first goal is to make you feel better. We'll customize your plan to get you the perfect therapy, but typically it takes treatment 2-3 times a week for 4 - 12 weeks to feel better.
In the corrective care phase, your muscles and other tissues will be taking time to heal and strengthen, which can help prevent injury. It usually takes 4-8 lower back pain treatments per month for 6 - 12 months, depending on your own personal health and condition, as well as the severity of your problem or auto accident.
Once your body has fully recovered, it is important to come in for regular adjustments to avoid problems in the future. Usually, this only needs a quick visit to our Missoula back pain chiropractor, based on your lifestyle and goals.
